Ontario wins Environmental Finance Bond Awards 2019: Green Bond of the Year — Local Authority/Municipality

Environmental Finance awarded the Province of Ontario the Green Bond of the Year Award in the Local Authority/Municipality category for its 2018 Green Bond issue. The $1.0 billion issue was the fourth and largest Green Bond offering from the Province. Judges on the Environmental Finance Awards Panel praised the Province’s strong impact reporting.

The Environmental Finance Bond Awards 2019 covers the 2018 calendar year. The Awards aim to recognise best practice, or issues that were significant for the development of the Green Bond market. The awards are decided by an independent panel of judges made up of some of the biggest investors in the green, social and sustainability bond market.
